Nice one!
How about splitting the video into two parts? Then upload them one week apart... might even help the marketing ;] Or you could try finding some visual design / film student in/near you city... they should know how Compressor of the Final Cut suite works (and have access to it)...

May I suggest using Vimeo? I believe they allow larger files to be uploaded (at much better quality)

Yeah i use vimeo, that's not the problem. The raw footage is too big, 700mb

I have a program called iLove which is perfect for creating small videos (well it's for portable players, but you can use it anyways).

Just use window media maker and have it compress into wmv which will lose up to 70% size- quality would be a bit lower and the size is smaller but perfect for youtube or so. I'm not sure if you got both, Mac and PC.

Try squeezing it down to about 960x720, or 480x 360, with a bitrate of around 6800kb/s. Use h.264, or x264 if you've got it. You could also try uploading it else where and linking it here, (my suggestion: vimeo).

Yeah vimeo has a 500mb limit per week so i'll have to scale it down regardless. It 717x439 pixels, 2124.31 kbit/s and it's a .mov. It's just the raw footage

I don't really know a good converter for mac without getting premier or something that costs.

quicktime is all you need. If you have snow leopard, make sure you've got a copy of quicktime 7 (its on your install DVD if not).

do you know the program "super" ?
you can resize videos, put down the frames per second, and such stuff
i'm no master of this program, but it's easy to handle, and you have some good results in sizing videos down.
maybe you will try it out [link]
