Quick back view for an APC design. This version differs slightly from the previous design [link] because i added the ramp at the back and plus i changed the shape of the front but im gonna have to do a prespective sketch to show that in more detail

a texture like that would look better on a medieval piece of armour than a sci-fi tank.

Yeah i see where your coming from, i think its because i need to use more scratched metal textures as opposed to using a cracked paint texture which i used for this.

Got any suggestions on which type of texture to use for metal?

Spackled custom brush. from there use a lighter shade with a flow of maybe 60 to 70 percent? the dodge tool with the same brush should add a nice finish, but try not to get carried away with it.

also, add little bits of bright silver for those big spots of scratched paint at the edges of plates.

if it's a really close shot, use silver with a 2 or 3 pixel brush at an opacity of 15 to 30, and add a whole bunch of scratches.

of course, these numbers are guesstimates. use your judgement and tweak them a bit.

actually, it's best to start out with a hard round brush at low opacity for blending and texture but, well, experimentation is key. try both.

This is looking bad ass. I was thinking what if it had a landing support wheels. Something of the lines of what an airplane has but instead much more better looking. Just an idea but this is nice. Growlhound can't wait to model. ^^_ This is the flying moon apc so we'll need a ground version aswell but hey, we are in no rush so keep up the great work!

I'll have a play around with some different legs and stuff, but i thought maybe because this was 3050 that landing gear had been thrown out the window years ago:) i was kinda thinking this APC would move like the republic gunship from star wars
