I work nights in a wood mill packing wood. It's not bad and it pays well. i don't get home till three in the morning and then i usually sleep till noon so it leaves me without much time to do anything really
I had a job like that a while back. Worked at a cardboard processing warehouse running the cutting and printing machines. You wouldn't believe how heavy some of those stacks of cardboard were, and sharp! I had so many slashes on my wrists from the fresh-pressed cardboard that I looked like a cutter. Temperatures in the warehouse were usually over 100°, not counting the heat from a machine when you stood next to it.
Not exactly fond memories, but I'm glad I did it because now I can always look back and say "at least this job isn't as bad as that was."
Sorry to hear about the lack of free time. Hopefully that improves as you adjust to the job.
